What is your name and job title at Formtech?

Travis Ebel.  I am the Production Planner & Purchasing Agent in our Athens, GA facility.

What role does your job play in the Formtech process?

My role is vital in day to day, week to week, and month to month operations.  Whether I am helping customers, making sure we have the materials needed, or scheduling production, I strive for above satisfactory customer service and self-improvement.

Who do you work with on a regular basis?

I work with every employee on a regular basis, from the operators, maintenance, and quality to supervisors and management, in addition to our customers and vendors.

What is your proudest moment at Formtech so far?

I’d have to say that my proudest moment was when Formtech received the “Seven Seals Award” from ESGR (Employee Support of the Guard and Reserve.  It’s an honorable award for a company to receive, and I feel that Formtech well deserved it for their contributions and understanding when I have to be out of the office for my military duties.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

I have a few hobbies that I do outside of work.  Fishing, camping, kayaking, an avid shooter and let’s not forget Georgia Football, GO DAWGZ!

What are the top 3 highlights of your life?

First is family.  I have 2 gorgeous daughters, a boy on the way, and a beautiful wife.  Serving in the United States Army is also on the top of my list.  I love my country and everything it stands for.  The last thing would be that I constantly strive to better myself, no matter the situation, task, or obstacle.

Finish this sentence: “Three things people would be surprised to know about me include…”

Oh boy, three things huh?  Here we go…..I like longs walks on the beach and candle lit…..Just kidding.  I’m a pretty simple person as well as very open.  So, there wouldn’t be anything surprising about me.  I’ve done a lot, accomplished a lot, and will continue that in this great journey of life.

What was your favorite childhood gift that you ever received?

This one is easy!  I didn’t come from a lot of money growing up, so when I received a Nintendo (yes, the regular Nintendo) for Christmas one year, I was ecstatic.  Something I’ll never forget.

What do you like best about working at Formtech?

The people, bar none.  We are a small company and everyone knows everyone.  It’s definitely a Formtech family!  There aren’t two individuals who are alike either, everyone is crazy!

What is something people might not know about Formtech?

We take pride in what we make.  It’s American made, from American materials, by American workers.  Here, our customers are our #1 priority.

What are you having for dinner tonight after work?

I’m a huge griller. I grill 4 out of 7 nights during the warm seasons and at least 2 out of 7 nights during the cold season. So, I haven’t made up my mind for tonight, but it’ll either be a ribeye steak, chicken, pork loin, hamburgers, hot dogs, or stir fry, but you can guarantee it’ll be on the grill!

What dessert would you have magically appear afterwards, if you could pick?

Key Lime Pie, you can’t beat a good key lime pie!
